Silver Sedge
LFT-T34.14Description
The Silver Sedge is a classic caddisfly imitation used throughout the UK and much of Europe wherever pale, silvery-shimmering caddisfly species are on the water. Nothing reliable turns up in the available literature about a single inventor or exact year of origin - the fly has proven itself as a traditional pattern over generations.
The Silver Sedge sits calm and flush on the water's surface and is classically fished dead-drift - a reliable choice wherever pale caddisflies are hatching or laying eggs.
Fair Trade, Full Circle
Your flies are tied fairly, with the best materials, on a barbless hook. "Fliegenfischen mit Herz" is building a base for women in Nairobi. The women there own and run the tying workshop themselves, giving them economic independence, pride in their craft, and joy in their customers. Let's work together toward a more balanced world.
