Olive Upright

The Olive Upright is a traditionally hackled dry fly with upright wings, imitating olive-colored mayfly species. Nothing reliable turns up about a single inventor - the name simply describes color and wing posture.

The Olive Upright is fished dead-drift during an olive hatch and works as a reliable all-purpose imitation for the many greenish-olive mayfly species found on stream and river.
