Bead Head Cased Caddis
LFT-N141.08Description
Caddis larvae build themselves a portable protective case out of sand grains, small stones, or plant matter, held together with their own silk and enlarged as the larva grows - a protein-rich food source trout readily take. No documented origin or inventor can be found for the specific fly pattern itself.
The realistic, segmented design and heavy gold bead sink the Bead Head Cased Caddis quickly close to the bottom - right where trout, grayling, and char hold. It's fished close to the bottom and dead-drift, a proven choice in demanding conditions.
Fair Trade, Full Circle
Your flies are tied fairly, with the best materials, on a barbless hook. "Fliegenfischen mit Herz" is building a base for women in Nairobi. The women there own and run the tying workshop themselves, giving them economic independence, pride in their craft, and joy in their customers. Let's work together toward a more balanced world.
