Description

The Klinkhamer Special is a Dutch emerger fly, developed by Hans van Klinken in 1984 on the River Glomma in Norway for the local grayling fishing there. Its hallmark is the bent body hanging below the surface, with a highly visible parachute wing above it. This version uses CDC feathers for the wing, giving the fly extra natural buoyancy.

The Klinkhamer is fished dead-drift, imitating insects at the moment of emergence, with the abdomen still hanging in the surface film - ideal for trout and grayling on rivers with a caddis or mayfly hatch, especially in broken water.

Fair Trade, Full Circle

Your flies are tied fairly, with the best materials, on a barbless hook. "Fliegenfischen mit Herz" is building a base for women in Nairobi. The women there own and run the tying workshop themselves, giving them economic independence, pride in their craft, and joy in their customers. Let's work together toward a more balanced world.
