Olive Syntrex Bug / Scud
LFT-NA6.16Description
No documented origin or inventor can be found for the Olive Syntrex Bug. It belongs to the broad family of modern scud imitations tied with synthetic dubbing, recreating freshwater shrimp - an important food source for trout and grayling.
The transparent, segmented back and fluorescent olive dubbing create a striking silhouette underwater. The scud is fished dead-drift or with a light strip retrieve close to the bottom and is especially effective in stillwater and slow-flowing sections.
Fair Trade, Full Circle
Your flies are tied fairly, with the best materials, on a barbless hook. "Fliegenfischen mit Herz" is building a base for women in Nairobi. The women there own and run the tying workshop themselves, giving them economic independence, pride in their craft, and joy in their customers. Let's work together toward a more balanced world.
