Red Diptera
LFT-TE3.08Description
The Red Diptera is the red attractor variant of the black Diptera - a simple imitation of small true flies (midges, gnats), this time in a brighter colour. No separate tying history is recorded for this variant.
In coloured water or low light, the red body can act as an extra trigger point where the more understated black version stands out less. Like the Diptera, it is fished right in or just under the surface film, dead-drift - best in small sizes on calmer stretches and stillwaters. It is tied barbless.
Fair Trade, Full Circle
Your flies are tied fairly, with the best materials. "Fliegenfischen mit Herz" is building a base for women in Nairobi. The women there own and run the tying workshop themselves, giving them economic independence, pride in their craft, and joy in their customers. Let's work together toward a more balanced world.
