Description

The Paraloop Emerger combines the parachute tying technique with a looped wing construction, creating an especially realistic, half-submerged silhouette in the surface film. The parachute technique itself traces back to Scottish fly tyer Helen Todd, who in the 1920s developed the idea of a horizontally wound hackle; the loop refinement for emerger patterns is more recent, and no single inventor can be named anymore.

The Paraloop Emerger is fished dead-drift, imitating insects at the moment of emergence, with the abdomen still hanging in the surface film - the loop silhouette sits especially true to life on the surface.

Fair Trade, Full Circle

Your flies are tied fairly, with the best materials, on a barbless hook. "Fliegenfischen mit Herz" is building a base for women in Nairobi. The women there own and run the tying workshop themselves, giving them economic independence, pride in their craft, and joy in their customers. Let's work together toward a more balanced world.
