No documented origin or inventor can be traced for the Olive Caddis Pupa Emerger. It imitates the stage where the caddis pupa breaks free of its cocoon and rises to the surface to spread its wings.
This transitional stage makes the pupa easy prey, which is why trout and grayling target it so deliberately. Tied barbless, it's fished just under the surface.
