Description

No specific inventor or documented history can be found for the CDC Delta Wing Stonefly - a modern dry fly imitating small to medium-sized stoneflies. The CDC (cul de canard) feathers it uses have a long tradition in fly tying that reaches back to the 1920s in the Swiss and French Jura.

The slim, segmented body and delta-shaped CDC wings create a true-to-life silhouette on the water's surface. The fly is fished dead-drift on calm to lightly broken water and is especially suited to clear water and selective trout or grayling during small stonefly hatches.

Fair Trade, Full Circle

Your flies are tied fairly, with the best materials, on a barbless hook. "Fliegenfischen mit Herz" is building a base for women in Nairobi. The women there own and run the tying workshop themselves, giving them economic independence, pride in their craft, and joy in their customers. Let's work together toward a more balanced world.
