No publicly documented origin can be found for Marylin's Emerger - the name suggests a personal dedication. It belongs to the modern family of transitional patterns between nymph and dry fly, recreating a mayfly's emergence behavior just before it rises to the surface.
The bright greenish abdomen, dark thorax, and distinctive deer-hair wing provide visibility and buoyancy at once. It's fished dead-drift and is especially suited to calm river stretches and sight fishing for selective trout during a hatch.
