No documented origin or inventor can be found for the Glass Emerger. It belongs to the modern family of transparent emerger patterns that use a glass-bead head to realistically recreate light refraction in the water.
The transparent glass head, fluorescent yellow thorax, and sparkling Antron tail create a striking yet natural silhouette. It's fished dead-drift during a hatch or on calm water and is especially effective on selective trout under heavy fishing pressure.
