Transparent Ant Red
LFT-TE7.14Description
The Transparent Ant Red is the red-brown counterpart to the Transparent Ant Black - the same see-through material, this time in one of the two most common natural ant colours: chocolate-brown to reddish, as found for instance in the Amazon ant (Polyergus fuscescens).
Over pale or sandy bottoms and with a low sun, the red-brown colour stands out well without looking unnatural. Like the black version it is tied barbless and fished dead-drift right in the surface film - best in the warmer afternoon hours, when fish take ants selectively.
Fair Trade, Full Circle
Your flies are tied fairly, with the best materials. "Fliegenfischen mit Herz" is building a base for women in Nairobi. The women there own and run the tying workshop themselves, giving them economic independence, pride in their craft, and joy in their customers. Let's work together toward a more balanced world.
