Foam Dun
LFT-T147.16Description
The Foam Dun is a modern dry-fly imitation using foam instead of traditional hackle or hair for its buoyancy. Nothing reliable turns up about a single inventor - foam only became established as a tying material from the 1980s onward.
The Foam Dun floats virtually unsinkably and is therefore especially suited to turbulent, fast water - fished dead-drift, a rugged alternative to traditionally hackled mayfly imitations.
Fair Trade, Full Circle
Your flies are tied fairly, with the best materials, on a barbless hook. "Fliegenfischen mit Herz" is building a base for women in Nairobi. The women there own and run the tying workshop themselves, giving them economic independence, pride in their craft, and joy in their customers. Let's work together toward a more balanced world.
