Damsel Fly Green

Green damselflies occur on almost every pond and lake and rank among many fish species' preferred prey. No documented origin or inventor can be found for the specific fly pattern itself - it belongs to the broad family of British damselfly nymph imitations.

Since the damselfly is active at the water from spring through autumn, the Damsel Fly Green can be used throughout the season. It's fished with slow, undulating strips to imitate the larva's swimming motion toward shore - especially effective on stillwater.
