Description

The Elk Hair Caddis was developed in 1957 by Al Troth on Loyalsock Creek in Pennsylvania and became the worldwide standard for caddisfly imitations over the following decades. This olive variant specifically covers the many greenish caddisfly species commonly found on streams and rivers.

Thanks to its elk-hair wing, the Elk Hair Caddis floats extremely well and is ideal for classic searching-pattern presentation on fast, broken water - fished dead-drift or with a light twitch to imitate emerging or egg-laying caddisflies.

Fair Trade, Full Circle

Your flies are tied fairly, with the best materials, on a barbless hook. "Fliegenfischen mit Herz" is building a base for women in Nairobi. The women there own and run the tying workshop themselves, giving them economic independence, pride in their craft, and joy in their customers. Let's work together toward a more balanced world.
