Description

The Czech nymphing technique traces back to a 1984 fishing tournament on the Dunajec River between Polish and Czechoslovak anglers; the Czechoslovak team went on to win their first World Championship gold with it in 1986 in Liège. The style became internationally known at the 1990 World Championship in Wales, where the Czech team beat the British teams with it - Czech nymphs have been a competition staple ever since. This cream-red variant follows the classic, slim build.

The slim, weighted body sinks fast and is fished dead-drift close to the bottom - usually as the point fly in a short Czech-nymphing rig. Tied barbless, it's especially effective when trout and grayling are feeding right on the bottom.

Fair Trade, Full Circle

Your flies are tied fairly, with the best materials. "Fliegenfischen mit Herz" is building a base for women in Nairobi. The women there own and run the tying workshop themselves, giving them economic independence, pride in their craft, and joy in their customers. Let's work together toward a more balanced world.
