CDC Spent
LFT-T5.18Description
The CDC Spent imitates an exhausted mayfly (spinner) that lies flat on the water's surface after laying its eggs ("spent"). The CDC fibers recreate the splayed, translucent wings especially true to life.
The fly is fished dead-drift during a spinner fall, when spent mayflies drift motionless on the surface - a moment trout and grayling are especially quick to exploit.
Fair Trade, Full Circle
Your flies are tied fairly, with the best materials, on a barbless hook. "Fliegenfischen mit Herz" is building a base for women in Nairobi. The women there own and run the tying workshop themselves, giving them economic independence, pride in their craft, and joy in their customers. Let's work together toward a more balanced world.
