Description

The Black Parachute is a traditionally tied dry fly with a horizontally wound parachute hackle, providing realistic support in the surface film. The parachute technique itself traces back to Scottish fly tyer Helen Todd, who in the 1920s developed the idea of a horizontally wound hackle. This black variant covers dark insect species.

The Black Parachute is fished dead-drift and, thanks to its flush-sitting hackle, sits especially true to life in the surface film - a convincing imitation for dark mayflies and other dark insects.

Fair Trade, Full Circle

Your flies are tied fairly, with the best materials, on a barbless hook. "Fliegenfischen mit Herz" is building a base for women in Nairobi. The women there own and run the tying workshop themselves, giving them economic independence, pride in their craft, and joy in their customers. Let's work together toward a more balanced world.
