Blue Quill
LFT-T128.12Description
The Blue Quill belongs to the classic quill flies, whose slim, segmented body is tied from a stripped and dyed peacock quill - an old, widespread English-American tying technique with no single documented inventor for this particular color variant. The quill's fine segmentation recreates a mayfly's abdomen especially true to life.
The Blue Quill is fished dead-drift during a corresponding mayfly hatch - its realistic body structure makes it an especially convincing choice for selective trout on calm, clear water.
Fair Trade, Full Circle
Your flies are tied fairly, with the best materials, on a barbless hook. "Fliegenfischen mit Herz" is building a base for women in Nairobi. The women there own and run the tying workshop themselves, giving them economic independence, pride in their craft, and joy in their customers. Let's work together toward a more balanced world.
