Large Stonefly Wet

No documented origin or inventor can be found for the Large Stonefly Wet. As a bold wet-fly pattern, it targets large stonefly species such as the stonefly Perla bipunctata or Skwala species, found mainly in fast-flowing, oxygen-rich water.

With its bold hackling, dressed-down wings, and voluminous body profile, it's fished classically wet in turbulent current zones or deep pools, often on the dropper or as a point fly. A proven pattern for hungry trout, grayling, and char.
