Teal Blue Silver
LFT-NA15.10Description
The Teal Blue and Silver is a classic Scottish wet fly said to date back over 100 years - it was first described by Terence Horsley. Its characteristic wing from the barred feather of the teal duck, paired with a blue hackle and silver body, made it a fixture of Scottish fly boxes. Under the name "The Medicine", it later became known for night sea trout fishing too, through Hugh Falkus and his fishing friends on England's River Esk.
The Teal Blue and Silver ranks among the ten most popular Scottish sea trout flies and is classically fished loch-style or across the current - a reliable choice especially early in the season on Scottish lochs.
Fair Trade, Full Circle
Your flies are tied fairly, with the best materials, on a barbless hook. "Fliegenfischen mit Herz" is building a base for women in Nairobi. The women there own and run the tying workshop themselves, giving them economic independence, pride in their craft, and joy in their customers. Let's work together toward a more balanced world.
