Description

The Pheasant Tail Nymph was developed in 1958 by Frank Sawyer, river keeper on the Hampshire Avon, and tied entirely with fine copper wire instead of tying silk. This Green Spot variant with its coloured accent follows the same slim build.

The slim pheasant-fibre body sinks quickly thanks to the copper wire and is fished upstream, close to the riverbed - exactly where Sawyer believed most feeding took place. Tied barbless, it's a reliable pattern for trout and grayling.

Fair Trade, Full Circle

Your flies are tied fairly, with the best materials. "Fliegenfischen mit Herz" is building a base for women in Nairobi. The women there own and run the tying workshop themselves, giving them economic independence, pride in their craft, and joy in their customers. Let's work together toward a more balanced world.
