Description

The Grizzly Wulff belongs to the American Wulff series of rugged hair-wing dry flies. It was developed in the mid-1930s by Dan Bailey of Montana, a close fishing friend of Lee Wulff, who had shortly before set the style for this fly family with the Grey Wulff. As early as 1952, noted author Ray Bergman ranked the Grizzly Wulff among the most important patterns in the Rocky Mountains.

With its characteristic grizzly-hackle mottling and full hair body, the Grizzly Wulff floats excellently on fast, turbulent water - classically fished as an attractor on freestone stretches, where it tempts trout and salmon regardless of any specific hatch.

Fair Trade, Full Circle

Your flies are tied fairly, with the best materials, on a barbless hook. "Fliegenfischen mit Herz" is building a base for women in Nairobi. The women there own and run the tying workshop themselves, giving them economic independence, pride in their craft, and joy in their customers. Let's work together toward a more balanced world.
