Bead Head Connemara
LFT-N23.16Description
The Connemara Black is a classic Irish wet fly from the loughs of Ireland; some sources trace it to Francis Francis in 1867, though the exact authorship isn't firmly established. This bead-head variant with a gold bead is a modern development of the pattern.
The dark body with silver ribbing and the gold bead give it quick sink and strong contrast underwater. Tied barbless, it's fished deep and is a proven choice for trout.
Fair Trade, Full Circle
Your flies are tied fairly, with the best materials. "Fliegenfischen mit Herz" is building a base for women in Nairobi. The women there own and run the tying workshop themselves, giving them economic independence, pride in their craft, and joy in their customers. Let's work together toward a more balanced world.
