Description

The Pheasant Tail Nymph was developed in 1958 by Frank Sawyer, a river keeper on the Hampshire Avon, and tied exclusively with fine copper wire instead of tying thread. This variant with an orange tungsten bead is a later, modern addition for which no single inventor can be named anymore.

The traditionally tied pheasant tail body creates realistic movement, while the eye-catching bead adds extra triggers. It's fished dead-drift and close to the bottom, winning over trout and grayling alike.

Fair Trade, Full Circle

Your flies are tied fairly, with the best materials, on a barbless hook. "Fliegenfischen mit Herz" is building a base for women in Nairobi. The women there own and run the tying workshop themselves, giving them economic independence, pride in their craft, and joy in their customers. Let's work together toward a more balanced world.
