Egg Yellow
LFT-N113.16Description
No documented origin or inventor can be found for the Egg Yellow. Egg patterns rank among the simplest yet most effective modern fly patterns, imitating the eggs of spawning fish - a food source trout and grayling key in on specifically below spawning grounds.
With its round, glossy shape in bright yellow, the Egg Yellow imitates a ripe egg. It's fished dead-drift just above the bottom, preferably below spawning grounds in autumn and spring.
Fair Trade, Full Circle
Your flies are tied fairly, with the best materials, on a barbless hook. "Fliegenfischen mit Herz" is building a base for women in Nairobi. The women there own and run the tying workshop themselves, giving them economic independence, pride in their craft, and joy in their customers. Let's work together toward a more balanced world.
